Influenced by minimalism, Wang’s artistic practice is mainly involved with the unity of the negative spaces in ceramic and sculpture. Early in her practice, she combined organic materials such as clay and wood to explore and create their coherence in space, shape and texture. The architectural and industrial compositions of wood creates a new perspective when it comes into ceramic field, as well as the mechanical component that creates movement and system within the work in the contemporary practice. After she graduated from university, she starts practicing the skills for making functional ware and continues integrating the idea into the form of daily use objects.
